Chilton bird control company Contego Response swoops for record turnover
Bird and pest control company Contego Response is aiming to achieve a record turnover and unlock further expansion after a busy 12 months.
The County Durham-based firm, which currently turns over £1.3m, wants to hit sales of £2m by the end of the year.
Contego also plans to extend its UK footprint with a series of new office openings and strategic acquisitions to grow its current team of 27.
Over the course of the last year, the company strengthened its Yorkshire operations and expanded into the Midlands and South West.
Contego is headquartered in Chilton and has additional sites in London and Scotland.
The firm was established in 2004 by entrepreneur Michael Taylor, who began his career as an animal trainer on films, including Harry Potter.
Contego has an in-house bird of prey team of over 60 hawks and falcons that delivers bird prevention and control techniques for clients across the UK.
Contego Response MD Michael Taylor said: “The firm has come a long way in the last few years and we are gearing up for significant growth over the next 12-15 months.
“Demand has continued to increase and we are now in a position to create new roles at each of our sites across the UK, which will help support our long-term expansion ambitions.”
He continued: “The ultimate aim is to launch further offices throughout the country and continue to grow our workforce in the years to come. There is plenty of positivity and I am excited by what the future holds for Contego.”
