ORM Agencies Can Protect Your Online Reputation
For a well known company like Hulu, there has been a lot of talk about them lately on how their ’’live TV service is basically basic cable for cordcuttters“ according to Stan Horaczek. ORM agencies are able to come into the picture for a company like Hulu since they are able to protect their online reputation. Not only are they able to do this, they are also able to respond appropriately to whomever talks about the company in a way that can hurt their reputation.
Hulu has a different model since they are charging 40$ per month for their subscription plan and along with 8.99$ for their streaming subscription service which is similar to NetFlix. There has been a new trend going on in the TV subscription world therefore other competitors such as AT&T, Google’s YouTube TV and so on have been also tweaking their offerings into these new skinny bundles. The skinner bundles are in place for customers who are tired of paying so much money a month for TV channels that they barely even watch. I mean after all who isn’t? It is important nowadays to get users to feel like they are able to customize their content packages and be able to do this at a lower price than before.
The talk about Hulu is due to the fact that the list of channels in their 40$ streaming package is rather familiar to the selection on a standard cable package for their live TV streaming services such as CNN, ESPN, TNT and TBS which are big broadcast networks. The company does lack certain channels like MTV and Comedy Central since these are DIRECTV exclusives which is something that is hurting them just a little bit.
If we talk about their price point, many other streaming TV services start at a rate of 35$, which is cheaper than Hulu’s new offering of 40$ although it also includes it streaming service which usually costs 8.99$ on its own. One of their competitors Sling offers this bundle for even cheaper (20$ a month). Although Hulu is lacking certain channels in their new bundle offer, they still offer many different channels including Sports Channels that a lot of viewers are drawn to, so who would you pick for your TV subscription now with all of these new price bundles?
