Plastics manufacturer and law firm move into £750k Bowburn incubator
Two North East companies have become the first to move into a purpose-built incubator centre at Esh Group’s HQ in Bowburn, County Durham.
Plastics manufacturer Sunwell UK Ltd and commercial law firm Fielden Marshall Glover Strutt have selected Esh Space as their new home.
The incubator, created with a £750k investment, is located on Bowburn North Industrial Estate.
Construction firm Esh Group delivered the facility as part of wider expansion of the site, which is already home to the company’s headquarters and training academy.
Wes English, development manager at Esh Group, said: “We built Esh Space in response to need for high quality workspace for small businesses in the region, with excellent access to key road and rail links.
“The rental agreements can be tailored to fit the needs of small businesses.”
He continued: “It’s these types of businesses that make up Esh Group’s vital supply chain and with our guiding principle to support the communities we work in, we’re very keen to support small businesses like Sunwell UK and Fielden Marshall Glover Strutt.”
The self-contained units, offering space for up to six businesses, are situated less than a five-minute drive from the A1.
Sunwell UK Ltd MD Nick King commented: “Sunwell UK supplies customers all over the world from the North East, so we needed an office space that provided connectivity, and Esh Space does just that.”
Fielden Marshall Glover Strutt director David Glover said: “Our business is established but we needed a flexible, high quality space to expand into.
“Being at Esh Space means we’ll be very well located for our UK customer base. Having Esh Group and its broad range of activity on the doorstep will also present opportunities.”
