Retailer behind VonShef and VonHaus brands acquires 110,000 sq ft Rochdale warehouse
Multichannel lifestyle retailer DOMU Brands has acquired a new warehouse in Greater Manchester after outgrowing its old premises in Bolton.
The company, formerly trading as Designer Habitat, leased a 110,000 sq ft space in Middleton, Rochdale to support its continued expansion in the region.
With over 130 staff now on its books, DOMU Brands is on track to achieve a record turnover of £65m this year – an increase of 40% against 2016’s figure. The company’s brands include homeware names VonShef, VonHaus and GoldCoast.
The firm was advised on the lease of its new warehouse by Manchester-based HRC Law.
DOMU Brands CEO Mark Januszewski said: “With any growing business, the professional partners you choose to work with impacts on your relative success.
“The team at HRC Law is genuinely commercial and supportive in their approach.”
He continued: “They take on board where we’re aiming to get to as a company as well as delivering on the job at hand.”
Commercial property solicitor and HRC Law partner Helen Marsh commented: “DOMU Brands is a real success story for the region and its sector.”
“Our clients are entrepreneurial, ambitious businesses who are making a difference to the economy by creating jobs and driving growth. This business is on an exceptionally exciting journey.”
She added: “We’ve loved helping support its success and look forwards to continuing to do so.”
