Liverpool’s Graffiti Spirits Group expands in London with Tequila-inspired pop-up
Merseyside leisure operator Graffiti Spirits Group is expanding its presence in London.
The company, known for a raft of popular drink and dining venues dotted across Liverpool city centre, has brought its El Bandito brand to the capital in the form of a pop-up bar.
Having already given revellers on Shoreditch High Street a taste of its Tequila-inspired offer, Graffiti Spirits Group’s El Bandito LDN has now established itself in Victory Mansion on Stoke Newington High Street.
Operating with the vibe of an illicit drinking den, the venue features a collection of around 50 Tequilas and 25 Mezcals.
El Bandito LDN said it also offers a number of specialist brands not available anywhere else in the UK.
Business partners John Ennis and Matt Farrell, the minds behind Graffiti Spirits Group, explained that the move follows extensive research carried out over seven years into the Tequila market, during which they made several trips to Mexican distilleries and engaged with key industry influencers.
John said: “I was invited by Tomas Estes, best known for importing the first bottle of Tequila into the UK and for being one of the most influential people in the Tequila industry outside of the distillers themselves to Jalisco in Mexico and it proved inspirational.
“With our focus on rare and high-quality Tequilas and Mezcals, El Bandito aims to educate and inspire drinkers about these often-misunderstood spirits.”
He added: “Via our trips to Mexico, we’ve been able through developing great business relationships, help transfer an in-depth knowledge of specific drinks to our team and ultimately our guests.”
In addition to El Bandito, Graffiti Spirits Group’s Liverpool portfolio includes Santa Chupitos, Salt Dog Slims, 81 Ltd, Slim’s Pork Chop Express and Santa Maluco.
