There’s still time to make room for nature this June!

There’s still time to join Northumberland Wildlife Trust this June as it links up with the other 46 wildlife trusts around the UK and asks everyone do something wild every day for a month!

The challenge is simple and designed to encourage everybody to make room for nature - no matter where you are or how busy your life. Make June the month when you do something wild every day and let the 47 wildlife trusts motivate you!

Everyone who signs up to the challenge - 30 Days Wild - will receive a free pack full of encouragement, ideas and ‘Random Acts of Wildness’. They will also receive a funky wallchart to track progress, stickers, wildflower seeds and regular blasts of inspiration throughout June straight to their inbox to help everyone make nature part of their lives.

The national 30 Days Wild sign-up page can be found at www.wildlifetrusts.org/30dayswild where people are provided with 101 fun and intriguing ideas to get them started on the road to enjoying nature. It’s all about making time for nature in your life - and it’s free.

Mike Pratt, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Chief Executive said: “It is a well known fact that a generation of children are growing up disconnected from nature and that only 1 in 10 children ever play in wild places. This is a problem that affects adults too - it can be difficult to create the right moment or to find time for nature in our busy lives, but Northumberland Wildlife Trust is here to inspire people - whatever their age, wherever they live, we want everyone to feel they can take part, so go on, visit www.wildlifetrusts.org/30dayswild and start your wonderful wildlife experience… it’s never too late.”
