A major private hire company could be making Paddington or Clerkenwell its new home

Addison Lee, the London-headquartered private hire company, is rumoured to be hunting for a major new headquarter site in the capital.

The London cab firm, which has recently embarked on a major expansion drive across the UK, Europe and Asia, has instructed James Andrew International to sniff out opportunities for a new 20,000 sq ft HQ according to Property Week.

With the lease due to expire on its current Euston head office at 35-37 William Road, the private hire business is believed to be hunting for a new London base from Paddington to Clerkenwell.

Founded in 1975 in London, the company has grown to become one of the capital’s foremost private hire companies and now has its sights set on scaling globally.

The business operates a fleet of over 4,800 vehicles in central London and boasts revenues of around £90m per year.
