Cleaning firm celebrates 20th year with 20th maid appointment
One of Hull’s largest domestic cleaning franchise businesses is celebrating 20 years’ in business with the appointment of its 20th member of staff as the business continues to expand.
First launched in 1997, Merry Maids of Hull and East Yorkshire currently provides domestic cleaning services to over 161 clients across the region. With a staff of 20 maids, some of whom have been with the company for over 10 years, the business is committed to providing high quality cleaning services.
A franchise of Merry Maids UK, the Hull and East Yorkshire business is owned and operated by Vanessa Barley and her father, Bob Smith. The company has received numerous awards for its achievement within the Merry Maids franchise network and in 2012 received The Award of Excellence, the highest honour for a Merry Maids franchise.
Vanessa said: “We are proud of our achievements over the years and delighted to have recruited our 20th maid in our 20th year. The business is expanding and we hope to bring more job opportunities to the area during 2017. We pride ourselves on creating a happy and lively workplace for our staff and our aim is always to delight our customers.”
