Bond Dickinson raises £10,000 for local charity

The Plymouth office of national law firm Bond Dickinson has raised around £10,000 in support of local charity Jeremiah’s Journey.

Jeremiah’s Journey provides bereavement support to children in the Plymouth area who have experienced or are anticipating the loss of a close relative. Bond Dickinson has raised the money through a range of fundraising activities since it started supporting the charity in 2012.

The firm is currently taking part in Jeremiah’s Journey 20:20 challenge, a yearlong event to celebrate the charity’s 20th anniversary with 20 local organisations participating in 20 different activities. Fundraising as part of the challenge is well underway and since November, the firm has raised £1,300.

Bond Dickinson has completed a number of challenges and activities in aid of the charity including a Sky Dive, Plymouth Half Marathon, Bring Your Teddy to Work Day, Pancake Challenge and a Pub Crawl to name a few. Last month, Bond Dickinson’s 180-strong Plymouth team also took part in a photo competition with paralegals, support staff, lawyers and senior management showcasing their photographic talent and the winning artwork is currently on display at the firm’s offices on West Hoe Road.

Craig Moore, Partner and Head of Bond Dickinson’s Plymouth office, said: “We’re proud to be supporting Jeremiah’s Journey which is the opportunity for us as firm to come together, challenge ourselves and have some fun whilst raising much needed funds for our local charity and the vital support it delivers in our community. We are humbled by the fantastic work Jeremiah’s Journey does to ensure that children who have lost someone special have the right help.

“We pride ourselves on being a good neighbour and strongly believe that successful businesses should play an essential role in supporting local communities which is why we support a number of causes locally and nationally.”

Laura Goodchild, Fundraising Team Leader at Jeremiah’s Journey, added: “It’s great to have a strong team of committed professionals from Bond Dickinson who are keen to help drive the charity’s awareness forward. With a great “can do” attitude the Bond Dickinson team have put themselves forward time and time again and welcome every challenge. I am delighted that the charity is able to work in partnership with such a great organisation.”
