This week's Yorkshire appointments

Print-Leeds, the specialist printing house, has strengthened its digital print and management team with three new appointments.

Richard Tandy and Adam Rider have joined the digital print team. Richard as an account manager in digital sales and Adam as a digital print operator.

Isobel Hainsworth-Brear has joined the management team as a director.

Richard Tandy joined Print-Leeds from Bluetree Design & Print where he managed the POS channel. At Print-Leeds, he is responsible for the sales strategy of the POS division, client liaison and business development, negotiating client contracts, project management and technical reviews.

Richard has worked in the printing industry for 18 years, starting as a trainee estimator.

Adam Rider joined the firm from Dominion Digital Print. He also has 18 years’ experience in the printing industry starting in screen printing, moving to Litho and then Digital.

Adam has experience on a number of different printing machines from a Heidelberg four colour press to a flatbed digital press. At Print-Leeds, Adam will be operating the Truepress wide-format digital press.

Isobel Hainsworth-Brear has joined Print-Leeds from Deloitte where she was Clients & Markets Lead for Yorkshire and the North East. She will be heading up the marketing function and working on a number of special projects for the management team.

Mara Gosling, Legatus Law

Legatus Law, the Leeds-based legal firm, has announced the promotion of Mara Gosling from assistant to associate solicitor.

Mara joined the firm in 2016 as assistant solicitor, following an eight-year career at hlw Keeble Hawson.

Carrying out fee earning work and putting her experience and knowledge to practice, Mara will take on a more active role with new client activity, while also having greater responsibility for junior members of the team.

Mara comments: “Legatus Law is a growing and exciting firm. I’m so pleased that my hard work has been rewarded and that I can now use my own experiences and career progression to influence the wider team.

Julie Fawcett (centre), Newtons Solicitors

A Harrogate solicitor has been appointed to Newtons Solicitors’ family law team.

The appointment of Julie Fawcett, who is a founder and former managing director of Harrogate law firm Taylor Fawcett, takes the team to seven family law solicitors.

After training and qualifying at a Grimsby law firm, Julie Fawcett chose to specialise in family law.

Julie Fawcett is a member of the national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, Resolution, and is a member and Law Society Children Panel representative, enabling her to represent children, as well as parents and grandparents and other family members.

She also undertakes domestic abuse work, acting for women referred through Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) and other support organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureau.

As part of the Newtons’ family law team, Julie Fawcett will act in divorce and separation and their financial aspects; children disputes between families including parents, grandparents and others; public law work where children may be separated from their family; domestic abuse and injunctions; cohabitation and separation for same sex couples, and adoption.

She said: “Newtons Solicitors has a first-rate reputation and I’m very pleased to be joining a specialist team of family lawyers offering the full range of legal services to the community and committed to maintaining affordable legal representation for people in need.”

Heidi Haigh, JF Finnegan

JF Finnegan, the Sheffield-based contractor, has appointed Heidi Haigh as new business development manager.

In her new role, Heidi will develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients to support the continued growth of the business.

Heidi joins from one of the UK’s leading demolition and decommissioning companies, where she was business development manager for five years, working across regeneration and development schemes.

Heidi also brings a range of online and offline marketing expertise.

Ryan Mellors, BemroseBooth Paragon

BemroseBooth Paragon, the car parking and transport ticketing specialist based in Hull, has announced that Ryan Mellors has been promoted to vice president of global sales - parking.

Ryan has been with the business for more than seven years.

Following significant growth in North America, South America and Canada, Ryan will make these territories a focus, extending current client requirements while also targeting new business opportunities.

Working from sales manager to his current position, Ryan is now a specialist in car parking and associated advertising.

Ryan commented: “Every day is different when you work in ticketing. It’s a very competitive market and you need to be on the ball if you want to succeed. BBP is thriving and I am so proud to be a part of that and to have taken the next step in my career.

Hayley Paterson, Faith PR

Faith PR, the Brighouse-based PR agency, has announced the appointment of a PR account manager.

Hayley Paterson joins the award-winning PR agency following previous roles as a press officer for BPP Professional Education Group, a senior journalist for Johnston Press and online reporter for Skysports.com.

She joins just a few months after Faith PR announced the appointments of Tom Coates, Abigail Binns and Luke Buss, who took on the roles of senior account manager, account executive and social media apprentice respectively.

Stewart Oades, The John Good Group

The John Good Group, headquartered in Hull, has announced that Stewart Oades has been appointed deputy chairman.

Over the next 12 months, Stewart will work closely with both the chairman, John Rutherford, and managing director, Alan Platt, before taking over as group chairman in May 2018.

The company remains privately owned by the fifth and sixth generations of the Good family.

Dating back to 1833, the John Good Group is one of the oldest, independent logistics, shipping and corporate travel providers in the UK.

With locations at sixteen sites across the UK including Hull, Felixstowe, London Gateway and Manchester, the business recently opened offices in Liverpool, Bradford, Plymouth, Bristol and Cardiff.

In addition, the Group has overseas offices in Turkey, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and China.

During his career, Stewart has held senior management positions in Christian Salveson plc and Exel plc, as well as serving as president of the Freight Transport Association. He has advisory experience with Marks and Spencer plc and previous non-executive director experience with Clipper Group plc.

Stewart is currently a senior independent non-executive director for Wincanton plc and Reflex Van Hire and is also Chairman of Dalepak Ltd.

Gavin Dawes, JCT600

JCT600, the Bradford-headquartered motor group, has appointed Gavin Dawes as its new head of fleet for the Audi division.

Gavin has spent the last four years working with Audi UK, supporting the Audi network with a focus on fleet sales and business development.

He also has more than 15 years’ experience in business to business sales management, primarily in business consumables and telecommunications, including business development, channel management and sales management.

In his new role, Gavin will be based at the fleet hub in Chesterfield and will be responsible for managing JCT600’s Audi local business development team and also its fleet hub.

Gavin commented: “JCT600 has established a reputation as a trusted and passionate business with solid family values at its core, and I’m looking forward to being part of such a strong team.

“This is a great opportunity to develop the potential of Audi fleet and drive the business forward.”

Danny Stead, Aye! Agency

Aye! Agency, the Huddersfield-based branding firm, has taken on a fourth team member.

The graphic design role will see Danny Stead deliver branding and website design projects, as well as ongoing client marketing materials, ranging from brochures to advertisements.

Joining Aye! from Studio 116 in Batley, Danny comes from an agency background and has worked with a variety of clients ranging from antique dealers and footstool designers to coffee chain Starbucks.

Oli Smith, Aye!‘s director and founder Oli Smith, said: “We’ve recently won some great projects which have created a real buzz in our office. We’re itching to get started and Danny will support us with these from the outset.

“It will also give us capacity to achieve continued growth throughout the rest of the year.

Chris Lamb, G3 Remarketing

G3 Marketing, the Leeds-based independent car auction firm, has strengthened its management team.

With almost 30 years’ sales and marketing experience, Chris Lamb has been appointed to head up a new communications department within the organisation.

He brings with him a wealth of strategic, multichannel marketing knowledge following an extensive career with Bradford-headquartered Barrett Steel.

There he was responsible for everything from the brand’s digital presence through to the formation and development of a new marketing team, marketing tech integration and the management of third party agencies.

Matt Dale, the founder of G3, said: “We’re handling more stock than ever before and attracting record numbers of buyers now we’re running up to four sales per week.

“But we operate in a competitive landscape so don’t ever rest on our laurels.
