Caffè Nero set to open at Leeds' CitySide student development
Caffè Nero, the Italian-inspired coffee house chain, launching a new site on the ground floor of the newly launched CitySide student development in Leeds.
Downing, the property developer, has a agreed to a ten-year lease with the coffee chain.
Caffè Nero has taken a 2,200 sq. ft. ground floor unit at the development on Calverley Street, including an outdoor seating area.
The double height unit features floor-to-ceiling windows and was delivered to a specification allowing the Caffè Nero team to quickly transform the space to meet their requirements.
Situated within Leeds’ university quarter, CitySide houses student accommodation in the upper levels. The complex is also close to Leeds General Infirmary, and attracts strong footfall from patients and hospital workers.
John Clegg, head of property management at Downing, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Caffè Nero to CitySide, Caffè Nero is one of the UK’s leading brands and will be a fantastic addition to the CitySide complex.
“The unit sits within a vibrant development located within the centre of Leeds’ student community, which attracts great footfall from both students and local workers. We’re expecting the cafe to be very popular with our student tenants and local residents.”
