Metro Bank is to open yet another branch in Central London
Liverpool Street is to get its own branch of Metro Bank, after the bank announced it was opening a new site at the transport hub later this year.
Joining branches at Earls Court, Tottenham Court Road and the chain’s flagship store in Holborn, the new site will be Metro’s eighth branch in Central London, providing customers with its 7-day-a-week service.
Sitting on the corner of Bishopsgate and Liverpool Street, Metro have also announced that the new outlet will have over 2,000 safe deposit boxes for customers to store their valuables, as well as its customary coin counting facilities.
Established in 2010 by former US banking head honcho Vernon Hill, the FTSE 250 company is currently in the midst of a sustained expansion drive in the UK with its branch-focused approach looking to fill the void left by the big UK banks who have shrunk their branch networks in recent years.
Ahead of the latest branch opening, Iain Kirkpatrick, Managing Director of Retail Banking at Metro Bank commented: “Liverpool Street has always been high on our list and we look forward to bringing local residents and businesses, as well as commuters, a bank that values customer choice and enables people to bank whenever, however and wherever they want – whether that’s in store, online, through an app or on the phone.”
