HQ Chester has been home to the council since 2009

55,000 sq ft at HQ Chester comes to market as council relocates

Space at office building HQ Chester has come to market as Cheshire West and Chester Council prepares to relocate its operations to other properties across the borough

North West consultancy Legat Owen was instructed by the authority to secure occupants for 55,000 sq ft at the scheme, which overlooks Chester racecourse from 58 Nicholas Street.

HQ Chester was developed in 2008 by Liberty Properties and today comprises apartments, restaurants, office space and a hotel. The council moved into the building in 2009.

Legat Owen director Will Sadler said: “Chester HQ is an exceptional scheme and the Council’s decision is timely in light of the high demand we are currently experiencing in the city centre for quality Grade A office space.

“With City Place performing well in the area and sizeable requirements hovering, we anticipate strong interest in the eye-catching property, with enquiries already coming in.”

He added: “We have a long standing working relationship with the council and we look forward to using our local market expertise to ensure we re-let the space with high calibre occupiers.”

Following its move from HQ Chester, Cheshire West and Chester Council will continue to maintain a presence in the city.
