North West firm Portico Nursery Group expands with eighth site
A North West nursery group has expanded in the region with its eighth site.
Portico Nursery Group, led by sister and brother team Nicole Politis and Craig Jackson, secured a 6,416ft two-storey space at Mere Grange on Elton Head Road in St Helens.
The company will occupy Unit 106 on a 10-year lease.
Operating a portfolio of all-inclusive childcare facilities across Merseyside and Lancashire, Portico offers childcare spaces for all age groups along with before- and after-school clubs.
Nicole Politis said: “It’s been an excellent year for the group and we look forward to providing outstanding, flexible and affordable childcare for parents and children in St Helens.”
HRC Law, a nursery sector law specialist, advised Portico on the transaction.
Craig commented: “With an ambitious vision to provide outstanding care and grow our business, it’s crucial to us to work with quality partners who have a genuine and deep sector expertise.
“That’s why we were so pleased to have HRC Law on board. The firm has proven its credentials in the nursery sector as advisers to some of the most admired organisations in the industry.”
HRC Law commercial property solicitor Helen Marsh, who led the deal, said: “We’ve been so impressed by the vision of Nicole and Craig and the team at Portico and look forward to watching them continue to build on their success.”
