Sheffield-based Hallam Land completes sale of two site in £46m deal
Hallam Land Management Limited has completed the sale of two strategic sites to BDW Trading Limited for a combined value of £46m.
Based in Sheffield, Hallam Land specialises in identifying, securing and promoting new sites for residential, commercial and mixed use development.
The sale of the sites in Faversham and Buckingham will result in the eventual delivery of more than 700 new homes and associated infrastructure.
National law firm Shoosmiths advised Hallam Land Management Limited on the transactions for both sites. The Shoosmiths team included partner Thomas Hall, senior associate David Goy and solicitor Holly Bennett.
Thomas Hall said: “Both deals represent the culmination of many years’ work by Hallam Land and as part of Hallam Land’s legal team we’re delighted to have been involved throughout the duration of these projects.
“It is fantastic that we have been able to hit the ground running since our arrival at Shoosmiths by advising on these significant and important deals for Hallam Land and we look forward to continuing and growing our relationship in the future.”
Hall, Goy and Bennett are part of Shoosmiths’ national network of strategic-land specialists, advising on all legal aspects of taking sites from fields to new communities.
Nick Duckworth, managing director of Hallam Land, commented: “These transactions will deliver a great result to our landowners with whom we work in partnership, and continuing Hallam’s excellent track record of securing planning consents for the delivery of much-needed housing throughout the country.
“Shoosmiths delivered clear and commercial advice in a manner enabling us to complete these important deals.”
Established in 1990, Hallam Land Management Limited is the strategic land and planning promotion division of Henry Boot Plc.
Hallam Land currently has interests in approximately 10,000 acres of land, split across approximately 130 current projects.
