Fletcher-Rae recruits 6 new members of staff

Fletcher-Rae, architectural practise, has successfully recruited six new members of staff to join their expanding team in Manchester. These are new roles to Fletcher-Rae, introduced in August and successfully filled by a dynamic group, collectively sharing a vast level of expertise in the property and architectural sector. And although the team members are quite diverse, their reason for choosing Fletcher-Rae, as their new place of employment, is similar across the board- there’s opportunity.

The architectural firm works across every industry with active projects in the following business sectors; commercial, education, energy from waste, healthcare, industrial, leisure, residential and retail. The scale of projects Fletcher-Rae is involved also varies, which is particularly appealing to new recruit Bharat Tripathi, as he attests:

“After completing my masters at the Manchester School of Architecture in 2015, I mainly worked in residential schemes for a smaller architectural practice, so the opportunity to expand my practical skills in the delivery and technical side of architecture, as well as participate in larger schemes at Fletcher-Rae was particularly appealing.”

Unlike most architectural firms, Fletcher-Rae has an innovative approach of specialising in both the design and technical side of architecture, and is equipped to handle all components in-house from masterplanning, to drawing and incorporating virtual reality design, through to implementation and beyond. And considering Fletcher-Rae embraces large and complex schemes, there’s opportunity for all members of their staff to grow, which has been the case for Matt Woods. His recent promotion to technical associate was quite timely, as he explains:

“As a result of the planning and drawing work I was involved in on the Clerkenwell Road London Hotel scheme, I was able to progress with the project and am now leading the technical delivery on site. I’ve been involved in the project since it first came into the firm years ago, and it’s been fulfilling to not only follow it through the process but also lead it through the final stages.”

Charlotte Fuller recognised the opportunities at Fletcher-Rae early on in her career. She’s been ‘in and out’ of Fletcher-Rae’s office over the past seven years, since first getting introduced during her college work experience programme. Charlotte went on to the Manchester School of Architecture and returned to Fletcher-Rae to complete her year out placement, as well as worked at the firm during the summers in-between her studies. She’s recently returned full-time, as a architect assistant, after achieving her part two architecture qualifications and is determined to make this a permanent move.

“Fletcher-Rae has been very supportive throughout my entire professional career, it’s a great atmosphere to work in and there’s so much you can learn. You can’t pinpoint what sector you work in, at any point in time, since the projects are so varied and the entire team works across them. As a student, I jumped right and was going to site meetings, working directly with clients, assisting with different things in the office. I’m really happy to be back back, again, and just looking forward to the tasks ahead.”

Also joining Fletcher-Rae, as an architect associate, is Eu Weng Ang. Ang has been recruited with 14 years of broad global experience in the architectural sector. Daniele Nardone is Fletcher-Rae’s newest, fully qualified architect, joining the firm with a wealth of experience from his native-country of Italy, as well as most recently working in Edinburgh. In addition, Luka Paliulionyte has joined Fletcher-Rae as a Part 1 architect and Anna Line is now Fletcher-Rae’s practice secretary.

With big aspirations in mind, Fletcher-Rae is continuing to recruit for a range of positions including a student apprentice. If you’re interested in joining their team, email info@fletcher-rae.com or visit their website to browse project they’re involved in.
