Eric Wright to provide property services for 18 schools in £180k deal
The facilities management arm of building services firm Eric Wright Group has secured a six-figure contract to deliver education property services for 18 academies and schools across the country.
The project will see Eric Wright FM partner with Tauheedul Education Trust (TET), which runs academies in Preston, Bolton, Blackburn, Blackpool, Manchester and Bradford, along with three schools in London and three in Birmingham.
The project, worth around £180k over two years, will be delivered through the Lancashire-headquartered group’s Eric Wright Professional Services offering.
Eric Wright said there is potential to extend the contract for a further two years.
The work will initially cover consultancy advice, reactive maintenance and support on complying with legislation, statutory and good practice.
Eric Wright’s head of professional services, Drew Hird, said: “We are delighted to be providing our experienced team to support with TET’s estate management requirements.
“TET has a large estate portfolio across the country, and the Trust decided to bring in Eric Wright Professional Services in order to assist the estate managers and bring consistency across the estate.”
TET’s head of estates, Helen Olive, commented: “As the Trust grows, it’s essential for us to have a clearer understanding of estates issues across all our schools and academies.
“Working with Eric Wright will make a huge difference, enabling us to take a more consistent approach to estates management as part of our Estates Strategy, and to offer greater support to individual schools helping them comply with necessary legislation.”
