Ladbrokes Coral relocates to new East London creative hub
Ladbrokes Coral has located to East London’s new creative campus, Here East, creating 140 new jobs.
The bookmakers has chosen a 26,336 sq ft hub which will bring together software engineers, architects and sport product specialists under one roof to work on bridging the gap between technology and sports within fans.
This is the latest sports tech company to locate to Here East, with BT Sport being broadcast live from an 80,000 sq ft production hub on the campus for four years.
The chief executive of Here East, Gavin Poole, commented: “As Here East continues to draw in innovators from more and more sectors, Ladbrokes Coral’s new digital product development centre fits well within the campus.
“Their newly joined up sport-technology team builds on Here East’s reputation as a centre of innovation for established companies and startups to collaborate and learn from each other’s expertise.”
Here East is a 1.2m sq ft campus that brings digital businesses, tech firms, universities and media companies together, demonstrating the digital revolution across many sectors.
The area is being developed by iCITY, which is owned by clients of Delancey, a specialist real estate investment advisory company.
Paul Goswell, managing director of Delancey, said: “Bringing in Ladbrokes Coral’s newly combined technology and sports team is a landmark moment for Here East as we create [this] creative hub.
“LC2 joins BT Sport on campus and cements Here East’s position as a leading centre for digital innovation and technology in the sports sector.”
