Developer purchases 19.4 acre Wakefield site for new housing scheme
A 19.4 acre site at Milton Road, Snapethorpe in Wakefield, has been acquired by Keepmoat Homes.
Acting on behalf of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, CBRE’s Leeds Residential team brokered the deal to sell the land.
The site is approximately 1.6 miles from Wakefield city centre and is located in close proximity to Junction 40 of the M1 motorway.
Keepmoat Homes is planning to carry out six year programme, which is anticipated to start in 2018 and will deliver a mixed tenure of around 260 two, three and four bedroom homes.
The company has also confirmed the new development will include job creation, while committing to a number of training and apprenticeship opportunities for young people.

“Once again, we will provide a development tightly tailored to the needs of respective residents; holding various consultation and feedback events, coupled with the provision of training and employment opportunities for local people and the sourcing of local labour.
