TRFC recognised as great company which creates jobs for long-term unemployed
The Right Fuelcard Company’s reputation as a great employer, which creates opportunities for the disadvantaged and long-term unemployed, has been further acknowledged.
TRFC, a Leeds-based independent distributor of Shell, Esso, Keyfuels and UK Fuels cards to UK businesses, is a finalist in the Outstanding Employer and Diversity categories of The Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business Awards 2017.
The Outstanding Employer shortlisting recognises how the business is shaping its industry in the critical areas of recruitment and staff well-being through its transparent and coaching led culture which is resulting in continued success and growth.
Listed 33 in the Sunday Times Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For 2016 with a 3 star accreditation - the highest star that can be awarded - for exceptional levels of employee engagement, TRFC recently passed its three year IiP reaccreditation with flying colours.
Yorkshire Post judges also shortlisted the business in the Diversity category for its unique recruitment and training programme which taps into the skills of people, including ex-offenders, that other employers reject - and has ensured a highly diverse workforce.
The nominations follow TRFC’s recent ‘Highly Commended’ honour in the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Employability Awards. The accolade reflects the opportunities the company has created for the disadvantaged and long-term unemployed and its tireless dedication to inclusion.
TRFC business director, Adam Walsh, said: “The latest nominations reinforce how we truly ‘look after the people who look after the business’ and we are immensely proud that employees refer to us as their ‘second home’. “Our pioneering approach to diversity in employment gives people from excluded groups - including ex-offenders who often experience discrimination - the confidence, self-esteem, training and skills to achieve what they thought was unachievable.”
