Telematics firm The Floow relocates to new Sheffield HQ

Telematics firm The Floow has announced the move into a new 9,000 sq ft headquarters building in Sheffield.

The relocation of the company’s HQ to the four storey building in the Wicker, christened ‘The Floow Campus’, follows on from The Floow doubling its headcount to 100 in 2017, with a further 10 vacancies to fill by the end of the year.

Aldo Monteforte, co-founder and CEO of The Floow, said: “Just five years on from first founding the company, The Floow is well established as a leading provider of telematics data services to the global insurance industry.

“Rapid growth this year has seen us recruit some fantastic new talent and I’m delighted at the calibre of team members who have chosen to join us.

“Moving into our new HQ is a fantastic milestone and we’ve been quick to put our stamp on the building. In the basement floor we have a wonderful meeting and collaboration space where our team have decorated an entire wall with illustrations that reflect our company values. What better way to show our commitment and collaboration in action?”

The move is part of a multi-million pound investment in people, premises and customer services support around the world over the next three years as the company expands into new countries and markets.

The Floow is one of the largest independent technology and data science organisations in the global telematics industry.

The business operates by harnessing its insights into how people drive to help its clients more accurately predict claims, to promote safer driving and to create more engaging digital customer experiences.

Monteforte continued: “Sheffield has played a crucial role in the success of our company and we’ve been able to attract some great talent, all of whom are united in our mission of making mobility safer and smarter for all.

“Fittingly, our new postcode even includes the letters ‘HQ’ in it so we really have chosen the right building in the right city to continue to take The Floow to greater heights.”

In addition to the new Sheffield HQ, The Floow recently opened its first international office in Detroit which will support plans to achieve a threefold increase in global revenues by 2020.
