Allianz Global in new partnership with My Family Care
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), Allianz Group’s specialist carrier for corporate insurance business, continues to demonstrate its commitment to retaining talent and supporting its caring workforce through an innovative partnership with My Family Care. AGCS has joined forces with the specialist provider of family-friendly services to offer enhanced benefits that help their employees balance work and family life.
As a result of the new partnership, AGCS employees will have free access to a bespoke online portal with a number of helpful features including a database of childcare providers searchable by area, a zone dedicated to helping fathers in the workplace, and regular webinars that enable employees to ask questions and get tips on balancing work and family care. The portal also provides information on clubs and activities to fill childcare gaps during the school holidays. AGCS employees will have access to Backup Care for themselves, their children, and their adult and elderly dependents when their usual arrangements break down, or when last-minute options are needed. Care can be in the form of nannies, nurseries, childminders, holiday clubs, and specialist adult and elder carers.
Brian Kirwan, AGCS UK CEO said: “Attracting and retaining talent is critical to our success and the success of the wider insurance industry. The support we offer is crucial to every employee combining work and family, and underpins AGCS’ commitment to diversity. My Family Care’s services through our dedicated Work+Family Space, will enable us to make this support visible and easily accessible to everyone.
“Our Shared Parental Leave Policy benefiting men and women has been a great success in providing parents with more choice and flexibility. I’m pleased to say that this will now be enhanced by My Family Care’s Parental Leave and Manager’s Toolkit which will enable employees to plan and prepare for a successful leave, and return, and managers to support parents through the transition. My advice to other organizations in the insurance sector is to listen and be flexible enough to provide tailored solutions.”
Ben Black, CEO of My Family Care says: “Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty is one of the many companies that are being forward-thinking enough to put family-friendly values at the top of their agenda. In order to maintain a high quality workforce, companies need to introduce ways to attract and retain the best staff. Employers like Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty invest a lot of time and money in recruiting top talent, so it makes perfect sense to listen to their needs and support them as best they can as they make that transition either to working parent or part-time carer.”
