Tanya Ziv, Currencycloud

International payments platform, Currencycloud, has appointed Tanya Ziv as its new chief compliance officer and money laundering reporting officer (MLRO).

Tanya is to lead and further develop Currencycloud’s compliance programme and drive the company’s culture of integrity forward.

With 10 years of experience in the legal sector, Tanya joins Currencycloud from Lebara where she was head of compliance and MLRO. Prior to this, she held similar positions at successful UK finance and technology firms including eToro and Cornercard UK.

Richard Cross, Clear Channel International

Clear Channel International (CCI), a global out-of-home advertising business, has appointed Richard Cross to the newly created role of chief digital transformation officer.

He will be responsible for ensuring that technology and digital innovation are at the forefront of CCI’s ongoing transformation strategy, providing leadership across the business’ 22 international markets, as well as sitting on CCI’s executive committee, the company’s senior leadership team.

Richard brings over 30 years of IT experience to the role, with 15 years leading disruptive digital transformation in large corporate organisations. He joins Clear Channel from engineering giant Atkins, where he held the role of group chief digital officer and CIO.

William Eccleshare, chairman and CEO of Clear Channel International, said: “Technology is at the core of out-of-home’s transformation, from digital screens to automated buying and data-driven planning.

“But it’s not just about having the right systems in place, we also need to have the right thinking to best position us for the future. With his wealth of leadership experience in implementing technology led transformation, I am delighted to welcome Richard on-board in this critical new role.”

As CCI’s CDTO, Cross will create a team with broad digital capabilities to drive the digital strategy, which will include leading CCI’s central IT team of 50 people. Working with the senior leadership team, he is to ensure that Clear Channel takes advantage of all aspects of digital disruption impacting the advertising industry.

Cross added: “I am thrilled to be joining Clear Channel International at such an exciting time in the evolution of out-of-home and look forward to collaborating with the teams across the world to drive a truly transformational strategy that puts technology - and the innovative culture and new ways of working needed to support it - at the heart of the business.”

Vin Murria, TAINA Technology

Vin Murria, a technology entrepreneur, CISCO’s Woman of the Year and founder of Advanced Computer Software, has joined the board of TAINA Technology, a regulatory technology business harnessing computer science to automate compliance.

In 2007, Murria founded her most recent venture, ACS, which she grew to become one of the UK’s largest software businesses before selling to Vista Private Equity in 2015.

Murria brings more than 25 years of venture capital, private equity, M&A and CEO/operational experience in the software sector.

In 2007, she formed and fully funded a charitable foundation targeted at educating and supporting women in India and the UK.

Volkers Beckers, Foresight Metering Limited

Foresight Metering, a second-generation meter asset provider, has appointed Volker Beckers as non-executive chairman.

Mr Becker’s has most recently held executive roles at RWE where he was group CEO at RWE Npower until 2012, following a six-year stint as Group CFO.

Volker joins Foresight Metering with significant experience working at key industry stakeholders including roles at Danske Commodities and Albion Community Power.

Beckers commented: “I am thrilled to accept the appointment. Foresight is a specialist in energy infrastructure and energy efficiency and has a long track record of delivering innovative financing and management solutions to its energy supply partners.

“Foresight Metering’s established position in the meter market enables it to be well placed to capitalise on the growing number of meter rollout opportunities created by GB’s smart meter revolution. I am looking forward to working closely with the team at this exciting time.”

Volker’s experience includes non-executive directorships in both the public and private sector including Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Elexon as well as close links with academia and think tanks.

He was presented with the Outstanding Contribution Award at the 2012 Energy Awards in London.

Robert Morley, gunnercooke

Operational leadership executive Robert Morley has joined gunnercooke, a fast-growing challenger law firm, as operations and corporate projects director.

Morley brings 16 years of board level operational leadership to the firm, and joins from a recent position as chief operating officer at Excello Law. Based in gunnercooke’s London office, Morley will take a lead role in the development and oversight of the firm’s business operations, partner services and technology, and will lead on new corporate projects in 2018.

CEO of gunnercooke, Anna Beaumont, said: “We are delighted to welcome Robert to gunnercooke. Robert brings with him a wealth of experience in business planning which will be vital to gunnercooke’s strategic development as we continue to grow our services.
