Preston-based recruiter responds to Brexit deal
Commenting on today’s Brexit deal, Lynn Sedgwick of Preston based Clayton Recruiter says:
“We welcome Theresa May’s announcement which means that EU citizens in the UK ‘will be able to go on living as before’. Ever since the Brexit vote, there has been a real concern about access to talent in sectors, such as nursing, that rely so heavily on EU workers due to dire domestic skill shortages. The fact that EU citizens’ rights will be enshrined in UK law means that employers can continue to utilise the skills and experience of this rich talent pool. And while the EU negotiations move on towards their next phase, which no doubt will be testing times, today’s announcement is a huge step in the right direction and will only be good news for UK employers and jobseekers alike”.
