Cumbrian firm Britain’s Energy Coast acquires landscaping business
Property firm Britain’s Energy Coast (BEC) has acquired landscaping business Greenlands Grounds Maintenance.
The deal will enable BEC, based at Westlakes Science & Technology Park in Cumbria, to expand its facilities services offering.
Three new faces have joined the company as part of the transaction, including Greenlands owner Steven Parry in the role of grounds maintenance supervisor.
At BEC, Steven will head up a team of grounds maintenance staff as they work on Westlakes Science & Technology Park and other property assets in BEC’s portfolio.
He is joined by grounds maintenance professionals David Bond and Chris Talahoma. Both have experience at Westlakes, having worked with the site’s external maintenance teams since 2001 and 2005 respectively.
BEC confirmed it will continue supporting and managing Greenlands’ existing commercial contracts.
BEC’s chief exec, Michael Pemberton, said of the acquisition: “As we develop a business unit that places pride of work and customer care at its heart Steven will be instrumental in exploring options for further commercialisation and revenue growth in this sector.
“He embodies BEC’s values and we are confident he will thrive in the role.”
Michael continued: “David and Chris are extremely welcome and dedicated additions to our team and I am delighted they are joining us and cannot wait to see the positive changes our grounds maintenance trio will make.”
