Imperial College Business School appoints new Director of Executive Education
Imperial College Business School has announced the appointment of David Brown to the brand-new role of Director of Executive Education.
David joins Imperial from London Business School, where he held the position of Executive Director of Client Solutions, leading the award-winning transformation of custom, open and consortium programmes.
His appointment to the new role of Director of Executive Education is part of a wider initiative to accelerate, expand and further strengthen Imperial College Business School’s Executive Education offer. Imperial offers a range of open enrolment programmes to individuals, customised programmes for organisations as well as an Executive MBA programme.
Underpinning each of these programmes is the Impact Lab™, a collection of simulators and laboratories which enable Executive participants to blend STEM disciplines with a modern business focus, challenging them to unpick their current thinking patterns and embrace bold, new ideas.
Commenting on his appointment Mr Brown said:
“I’m excited to be joining Imperial College Business School and look forward to the challenge of raising the bar with our Executive Education offerings. There have already been some very promising results this year, and I believe we can take this forward to even greater success.”
Outside of the higher education sphere Mr Brown has an established background in management consultancy, specialising in strategy and business development, and has worked with a number of international firms, including Mars & Co and Accenture, enabling him to bring a wealth of experience to his new role.
Professor Francisco Veloso, Dean of Imperial College Business School, says:
“We are very excited that David is joining us. This appointment is critical to supporting our ambitious development goals, and we’re sure that David will leverage his great skills and experience to build upon Imperial credentials and strengthen the global appeal of our programmes.
“As part of Imperial College London, our business school is in a unique position to enhance understanding of an ever more complex technology-driven world. Executive Education plays a critical role, alongside research and degree education, in achieving that aim. David will help ensure that Imperial remains the place that people come to when they want to understand the future of business.”
David Brown will be joining Imperial from March 2018.
