Stockport coach hire firm invests £383k in fleet

Bus and coach hire business Belle Vue Manchester has added to its fleet with a six-figure investment.

The Stockport-based company spent £383k to acquire two 20-seater Mercedes Sprinter minibuses, a 34-seater Yutong midi coach and a 61-seater Irizar i6 coach.

The vehicles will be used for corporate, private and educational trips and tours along with contract work, including a shuttle service for staff at the Christie hospital in Manchester.

Belle Vue has invested over £700k in its fleet, which now comprises 66 vehicles, in the last two years.

Phil Hitchen, director at Belle Vue, said: “Increased demand for vehicles which can accommodate larger groups has dictated the need to buy a bigger coach than the traditional 49-seater.

“The minibuses are equipped to a very high standard and perfectly meet the needs of our contract customers and touring groups.”

He added: “Our business is developing and expanding all the time. Continual investment is vital to ensure all of our clients are travelling on a modern fleet equipped with wi-fi, USB and electric sockets and more, ensuring an up-to- date passenger experience.”

Belle Vue was backed in the expansion with a funding package from Santander Business Banking.
