Intercity launches technology-focused apprenticeship scheme
Birmingham-headquartered enterprise communications and IT specialist Intercity Technology has announced a new apprenticeship programme, set to launch later this year.
With six roles available, Intercity’s scheme has been designed to provide young people with experience in both technical and customer-facing roles, and includes opportunities for aspiring network and security engineers, software testers, and project managers.
As well as gaining a Level 4 qualification upon completion of the 24-month scheme, apprentices will have taken their first step towards a successful career at Intercity. The apprentices will be based at the Intercity offices in Birmingham, Bolton, Oakham and Elstree.
Sonia Hall, people director at Intercity Technology, said: “Businesses, particularly those in the technology sector, have a responsibility to address the skills gap and show talented young people that university isn’t the only way into the industry.
“We have no doubt that our programme will set our apprentices up with the skills and experience that they need for a successful career in tech.”
