Much-anticipated new homes planned for Gloucester will underpin local jobs
Employment in Gloucester is set to receive a boost as an impressive development of new homes is set to underpin more than 200 local jobs.
Leading housebuilder David Wilson Homes is beginning work on its much anticipated Sunningend View development and the company predicts more that it will underpin jobs in construction and sales. Many local sub-contractors and tradesmen will be among the team, supporting employment in Gloucestershire.
“This is a welcome boost for local people who work within the construction industry,” said sales director, Louise Ware. “Demand for homes in Gloucestershire is high, which makes it the perfect place to build an impressive new community and it’s great that our new development will not only provide much-needed homes but support the local employment market.”
Louise adds that the local economy is likely to receive a further boost as people who move into the development are expected to spend their wages locally.
David Wilson Homes, which is renowned for its high build quality and spacious designs, will build 74 new homes at Sunningend View - and the development is expected to launch later this year.
It will offer a range of two, three and four bedroom homes from the five star housebuilder with the development within walking distance of Coopers Edge School and Whittle Square with its shops and leisure facilities.
