Seal of approval as managing director praises construction team’s progress in Westbury

Westbury’s newest community has been given the seal of approval by David Wilson Homes’ managing director after he visited the site to see progress of the new homes.

The project to build 136 new homes is well underway, and Ian Menham was full of praise for the construction team’s work so far.

“Our talented team is making wonderful progress here in Westbury,” said Ian. “There is still work to do but already Mill Brook is really starting to take shape. You can already feel the high quality of homes buyers are expecting from us here and I’m very excited to see more of the same as work continues apace over the coming months.”

Construction of the new development is also supporting more than 300 jobs in the region during the lifecycle of Mill Brook with roles ranging from tradespeople to sub contractors and sales advisors, roles mostly filled by local people.

Due to open later this year, Mill Brook will feature an impressive mix of three and four bedroom house designs - perfect for a range of different lifestyles.

The five star housebuilder is also a major investor in the region – latest figures reveal the housebuilder has brought £40.5 million in investment to the local area.

Bristol-based David Wilson Homes South West has made more than £32 million of contributions to councils and into infrastructure and affordable housing for local people. It also calculates that the local economy has benefited from £8.1 million of additional spending in shops and services from the residents of new homes they have built. This spending alone supports more than 80 retail and service-related jobs.

At Mill Brook buyers will have Salisbury Plain on their doorstep together with easy access to Westbury town centre and interested househunters can register their interest now in the homes where prices will be released this summer.
