York fleet company puts growth plans into gear with £7.5m Yorkshire Bank funding
A York-based fleet company is driving forward plans to move into new markets after securing £7.5m funding support from Yorkshire Bank.
Autohorn Fleet Services was established in 1995 and started with just nine cars. The company now runs a fleet of more than 2,000 cars, offering bespoke solutions for business and individuals across the UK.
The business has growth plans to enter new markets, including long-term leasing contracts with large corporate customers, expand its organisation partnerships and add to its 90-strong team.
Lee Underwood, managing director at Autohorn Fleet Services, said: “As a business, we have always focused on developing a product offer which is unique and bespoke for our customers, and this remains a vital element as we look to grow our business.
“It’s a challenging time for the automotive industry as we try to navigate the uncertainty of Brexit and other factors that have an impact on our business.
“But standing still is not an option and we are grateful to the team at Yorkshire Bank who understand our market and our business goals enabling them to support us in the right way.”
Pete Sumners, corporate and structured finance director at Yorkshire Bank, commented: “Autohorn is a great success story – growing from a local York service to a national fleet solutions business, with a wide range of customers across a number of industries.
“Yorkshire Bank is committed to working with SMEs to grow and reach their full potential, and Lee and the team have ambitious growth plans which we are proud to support. We look forward to working with Autohorn as they take their product and offering into new markets.”
