SCALA bolsters team with senior appointment to reach ambitious growth target
SCALA, a leading provider of management services for the supply chain and logistics sector, is continuing to go from strength to strength following a new senior appointment.
With over 30 years’ experience in the retail sector, John Callender joins the team as senior consultant. Starting his career as buying and category manager at Tesco PLC, John has since worked for international companies including MFI, Homebase and Karcher UK.
Specialising in managing changes to commercial supply chains, John has built a wealth of experience in business development, project lifecycles and stakeholder engagement. In his new role at SCALA, he will help broaden the consultancy’s services to include support on customer returns, reverse logistics and repairs.
The new appointment comes in line with the company’s significant growth plans, which aim to see a rise in profits from its customer facing, operations and change leadership services.
Commenting on his appointment, John said: “Too many retailers and manufacturers do not understand the true cost to their businesses if they fail their customers, and this will form the core focus of my new role at SCALA. We will deliver plans that not only ensure costs are understood, but that also transform a businesses’ profit and loss.”
