Talent recognised as Pegasus Group announces promotions

National consultancy Pegasus Group has announced a raft of promotions in recognition of the talent and hard work displayed by several of its employees.

Pegasus Group has more than 270 skilled and experienced staff operating from 12 offices across 11 locations throughout the UK.

Three Directors Gail Stoten, Heritage, Chris Hunter, Urban Design and Neil Culkin, Planning, have all been promoted to Regional Directors.

Associates Teresa Hazelwood, Landscape Design, and Chris Walker, Urban Design will become Directors. The promotions will come into effect from July 1.

Pegasus Group Managing Director Tony Bateman said: “All of these people have made and continue to make an outstanding contribution to the company. I know their colleagues will join me in congratulating them on their new appointment and wish them well for the future.”

Gail Stoten, based in the Birmingham office, joined Pegasus Group in 2015, with more than 15 years’ experience as a heritage professional. Her areas of expertise include planning, expert witness and heritage planning.

Chris Hunter joined Pegasus Group as a Design Director in 2014, establishing the new Urban Design team in the Leeds office. His areas of expertise include initial site feasibility and site appraisals, residential and commercial masterplanning through to detailed design. Working alongside land owners and large scale developers.

Neil Culkin joined Pegasus Group as a Planning Director in 2016 to set up the Liverpool office, which is now growing strongly. His areas of expertise are planning, expert witness, feasibility and site appraisals, five-year housing land supply, neighbourhood planning, planning appeals, retail planning and urban and rural planning.

Landscape architect Teresa Hazelwood lists her areas of expertise as design, landscape design, urban design and masterplanning, environment and landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA). She was recently involved in the landscape masterplanning and detailed design for Plasdwr, Cardiff’s new garden city, recently shortlisted for the Award for Design Excellence at the 2018 Planning Awards.

Chris Walker has more than eight years’ experience working as an Urban Designer with Pegasus Group in Cirencester. He manages a large profile of work, specialising in detailed site layout work for strategic sites around the London area, and the southeast of England.
