ISE unveils winners of Student Recruitment Awards 2018
The winners of the Institute of Student Employers (ISE) Student Recruitment Awards 2018 were announced at a gala dinner yesterday evening (10 July).
The awards, which recognise and reward the very best industry programmes and initiatives, were presented by award-winning broadcaster Steph McGovern at the ISE’s annual Student Recruitment Conference. Taking place at Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, the event also marked the ISE’s 50th anniversary.
Grant Thornton was crowned “Best of the Best” after winning the Graduate Assessment and Selection Strategy Award, a category in which Police Now received Highly Commended. The charity went on to win the Diversity and Inclusion Award for its work with Tonic Agency.
The Graduate Attraction Strategy Award went to HSBC plc, while Babcock International Group received Highly Commended following a submission from Blackbridge. Shortlister with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) was also Highly Commended for its outstanding contribution as a supplier, a category that was won by Capp & Co for its work with GSK.
Other award winners were Centrica for Best Work Experience Programme and Barclays received the School Leaver/Apprenticeship Strategy Award after being submitted by Capp & Co.
Stephen Isherwood, Chief Executive of the ISE, said: “Our annual conference and awards saw hundreds of professionals from the world of student recruitment come together to debate and celebrate the latest industry developments. The awards were a fitting culmination to the two-day event. Congratulations go to those shortlisted as well as the winners for demonstrating outstanding innovation and success.”
