Newcastle Airport to boost customer experience with new mobile app
Newcastle International Airport has launched its own mobile app.
NCL Airport allows customers to book parking, lounge access and Security Fast Track, receive real-time flight updates and alerts, and book flights to over 80 direct destinations.
Developed by Newcastle-based agency Shout Digital, the app also provides pre-travel information and exclusive offers for catering outlets and shops at the airport.
It is available free from the Apple and Google Play stores.
Graeme Mason, the airport’s planning and corporate affairs director, said: “We’re delighted to unveil our brand new app today.
“At Newcastle Airport, we pride ourselves on offering an award-winning customer experience and we’re working hard on ensuring we can further enhance our passengers’ journeys through the use of technology and the latest innovations.”
He added: “The first phase of this app is really all about helping our passengers to fully prepare for their flights, with bookings, flight and travel information housed in one place and real-time updates and alerts sent directly to their phones.”
Speaking further, Graeme said work on the second phase of the app is already underway.
He continued: “[We] are looking at ways in which we can ensure the app grows, incorporating more features and services that will further enhance the passenger experience for the five million plus people who travel through Your Airport every year.”
