Newcastle’s Frank Recruitment Group establishes new tech brand
International recruiter Frank Recruitment Group has established a new brand to cater for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) industry.
The Newcastle-headquartered business said its new arm, Jefferson Frank, will help it meet a growing demand for skilled AWS and cloud technology professionals across the UK, US and Asia-Pacific markets.
According to data from American research firm Gartner, AWS is experiencing 20% growth year on year.
James Lloyd-Townshend, chief exec of Frank Recruitment Group, said: “AWS is an emerging technology with incredible business potential.
“Amazon Cloud has recorded more than one million active users per month, and with no less than 90% of businesses migrating to the cloud, it comes as no surprise that we’ve seen such a boom in demand for skilled cloud professionals across the AWS ecosystem.”
He added: “To meet this demand, we’ve launched Jefferson Frank, whose remit is to focus solely on AWS recruitment.”
In May, Frank Recruitment Group expanded across the Atlantic with a new office in Tampa, Florida – its sixth in the US.
The company is backed by TPG Growth, the mid-market and growth equity platform of alternative asset company TPG.
Shamik Patel, principal at TPG Growth, commented: “The demand for niche technology experts continues to grow, creating a more urgent need for an efficient and scalable approach to placing the best talent in the right jobs.
“We’re excited to welcome a highly-specialized brand like Jefferson Frank to Frank Recruitment Group’s portfolio and look forward to continuing the company’s growth.”
Frank Recruitment Group created 100 jobs in March with a move to a new HQ in Newcastle.
