Law firm Irwin Mitchell expands Newcastle workforce

National law firm Irwin Mitchell has expanded its Newcastle workforce with a raft of appointments.

Four lawyers have joined the serious injury and medical negligence teams at the company’s Wellbar Central offices.

Alexis Tulloch joined the company as a senior associate from DAC Beachcroft, bringing with her 18 years’ experience in handling complex medical law cases.

Northumbria University graduate Helen Watt, who qualified as a solicitor in March, was hired from Blackett Hart & Pratt.

Irwin Mitchell also welcomed former DAC Beachcroft solicitor Lindsay Cole, who qualified in 2010, and Jonathan Straughan of Newcastle-based Winns Solicitors.

Alexis Tulloch said: “I am delighted to join a team which is so highly respected in this field for both its technical expertise and for putting its clients first.

“Irwin Mitchell’s focus on delivering the highest standard of client care and their ability to access rehabilitation and support services sets them apart and is what attracted me to the firm.”

The lead personal injury partner at Irwin Mitchell’s Newcastle office, Fran Mayes, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Alexis, Lindsay, Helen and Jonathan to the Irwin Mitchell team.

“I believe their appointments are further evidence of our continued commitment to provide clients with top-class, home-grown expertise.”

Irwin Mitchell employs more than 80 people in the city.
