Arsenal sign partnership in Egypt with Banque du Caire
Arsenal FC have signed a new deal to make Banque du Caire their official partner in Egypt.
The three-year agreement will see the Cairo-headquartered bank issue co-branded Arsenal credit and debit cards for customers and fans in Egypt.
Egyptian supporters will also be offered club-related benefits, including a chance to see the Gunners play at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal will also give the bank access to first-team players and club legends for content and marketing campaigns.
In a statement on the club’s official website, Arsenal chief commercial officer Vinai Venkatesham said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Banque du Caire, our second official partner in Egypt.
“We have huge support in Egypt with more than 2.5 million followers on Facebook.”
He added: “We look forward to developing some exciting initiatives together for both Arsenal and football fans in Egypt.”
Banque du Caire’s chairman and CEO, Tarek Fayed, told Arsenal.com: “Arsenal is one of the world’s most renowned football clubs, and we are exceptionally proud to be associated with them.
“They share a number of Banque du Caire’s most important values, especially our unique sense of heritage and history.”
He continued: “The partnership is set to be mutually beneficial for both parties as we work together to drive engagement for our clients, staff, and Arsenal fans across our nationwide footprint.”
