Planning granted for 248 brand new homes in Tiverton

Work is set to start on a brand-new community in Tiverton, after local planners approved proposals from five-star housebuilders Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.

A development of 248 much-needed brand new homes, which will be named Braid Park, was given the go-ahead by planners and means the beginning of a new community, and the creation of employment for local workers.

It’s expected that the construction and sales of the new homes will support a large number of jobs, including those for local people and subcontractors. The new development is set to feature a range of homes.

“This is great for people wishing to settle in this sought-after area,” said sales director Sara Parker. “We think very carefully before deciding where to build new properties – and we know demand here is very high. We’re thrilled to be playing our part in bringing new homes to people in the area.

“The layout of this development has been created with a whole host of lifestyles in mind – from sole occupants and couples to growing families. This is very important to us. We know there is a need for new and accessible housing in this region, and our home designers have done us proud here.

“We’re expecting interest to be high thanks to the high quality of the homes and the fantastic location of this new development,” said Sara. “We will continue to work with the local area and stakeholders to create the new community.”

The new Braid Park has also been awarded a Built for Life Award, which is a highly regarded award proving that the development has been planned to cater for a diverse cross-section of society, and with one eye on the environment.
