North East Entrepreneur Launches Business To Help Graduates Land Their Dream Job

Newcastle based entrepreneur Sophie Milliken has launched an innovative new company complementing her existing success, to ensure that graduates have access to free information on how to land their own dream career.

Sophie, managing director of multi-award winning Smart Resourcing Solutions Ltd (SRS), is now the proud owner of GetaGraduateJob dot com.

The company is expert in graduate assessment and employability. The team specialise in working with employers, students and universities on specialist solutions supporting graduate and apprenticeship recruitment and employability focusing on early year admissions.

To complement the early years careers activity SRS delivers, GetaGraduateJob has just been launched, and the dot com website is now not only live but it has also landed its first corporate sponsor, M&S.

The retailer was impressed with the new website jam packed with useful resources, tools and advice for graduate job hunters. The site also offers a paid-for online course with eight modules, which completed adds up to a Level 3 AQA Employability Skills accreditation, which makes a job seeker attractive to an employer.

Helen Alkin, future talent recruitment and strategy lead for M&S, said:

“There has never been a more exciting time to join M&S, with lots of careers opportunity available. We are always keen to support the best in early years careers and the free content on GetaGraduateJob dot com, combined with the outstanding course, made it an attractive proposition for us to sponsor.”

The website, which is aimed at final year students and their parents, also has blogs, advice and subscriptions to exclusive freebies and news.

Sophie, who has just been named as Best Provider of Recruitment Assessment Material in the 2018 SME News Business Elite Awards and has this week been shortlisted for two awards in the Best Business Women Awards 2018 as the Best Business Woman in Recruitment and Best Business, said:

“This is such an exciting time for me and the team. SRS is doing exceptionally well and we wanted to capitalise on that when we realised there was a gap in the market for GetaGraduateJob. The website will truly make a huge difference to those job hunting in the lead up to or after graduation and we are delighted to have M&S on board as our first sponsor!”

SRS has been recognised as outstanding by a number of industry bodies including the ISE, AGCAS and the CIPD.
