Darlington expansion for engineering firm Ardmore Craig
Engineering firm Ardmore Craig has moved into a new Darlington office following a period of expansion.
The company, now based at The Beehive at Lingfield Point, has grown its team 25% in the last three months and entered new overseas markets in a deal with a European client.
Briefs secured over the summer, driving the recruitment, included an oil and gas project in the North Sea for a drilling contractor and oil company.
Ardmore Craig expects to create additional jobs in the coming months, including senior engineering roles and a business development position.
Director Andy Stevenson said: “It’s been a really successful year for Ardmore Craig and following a period of expansion, it was the right time for us to seek new premises to support with our continued growth.”
Speaking further, Andy thanked enterprise support organisation Teesside Business Compass for providing funding towards its investment in new premises and IT infrastructure.
Andy continued: “This change means additional capacity to undertake larger scopes of work and to take on additional clients as the business looks to grow.”
