Three New Offices in Three Years for Cowens

Midlands-based Insurance Broker, Cowens, is celebrating three years of unprecedented growth after opening new offices in Birmingham, Stamford and Milton Keynes alongside it’s Mansfield headquarters.

The business opened its brand-new premises in Milton Keynes three years ago, followed by its branch in Birmingham in 2016. Cowens then consolidated its operations in Lincolnshire, opening its new, streamlined office in Stamford 18 months ago. Three specially selected Account Executives were chosen as Branch Representatives to manage these sites, and now provide insurance broking and risk solution services for businesses of all sizes across the Midlands.

Paul Chaplin, Managing Director of Cowens, said: “We have always had regional ambition and our new branch network is part of our wish to operate over the whole of the Midlands. We deal with such a wide range of commercial businesses, from start-ups to large corporates, and our flexible and efficient set-up in these chosen locations has contributed greatly to the number of businesses we are now able to help. We’re growing at a level we’ve never seen before and look forward to what the future holds.”

Account Executive, Robin Chubb, has worked for Cowens for 14 years, specialising in providing businesses with bespoke, tailored insurance policies to suit their needs. He was chosen to represent the Stamford branch when it opened in early 2017. He said: “The new Stamford office has opened a number of new doors for us in terms of clients and we now have a strong portfolio of business within an hour’s drive time of the office. Having greater prominence, not only in the East Midlands, but across the breadth of the country is a vital part of our growth strategy and I’m proud to head up our operations in Lincolnshire.”

Cowens provides specialist insurance policies and risk management solutions for businesses as well as private client insurance. The business is one of the Midlands’ longest standing brokers.

Account Executive and representative of the Milton Keynes branch since October 2015, Dean Yearsley, said: “We pride ourselves on providing a personal touch to our service and the opening of our new locations further amplifies our ambition to deliver a hands-on approach. Having an office in Milton Keynes not only widens our reach, it allows us to be there, in person, when our clients in that area really need us.”

Stuart Brain, Account Executive and representative of the Birmingham Cowens branch has 30 years’ worth of experience within the Birmingham business scene. His connections in the West Midlands, together with his relationships with insurance underwriters and business owners in the area, made him an ideal candidate to broaden Cowens’ reach in the region.

He said: “The Birmingham branch has taken Cowens to the next level. Together with the north, east and south of the country, our reach has now expanded to encompass the west and we’re able to provide effective service for clients as far as Wales. My knowledge of the business community in the area has contributed to the success of our Birmingham base so far and the new office has also had a positive impact on our operations internally - I have taken over existing clients who are based in the region, meaning we’re now able to give them more face-to-face contact and a more efficient service.”
