Manchester’s MCR Property Group to expand Mayfair office with 50 new jobs
Property investor MCR Property Group has announced plans to grow its presence in London.
Over the next 12 months, the Manchester-headquartered company will create 50 jobs in the capital to accommodate its growing South East operation.
MCR currently has a £2bn pipeline equating to 10,000 units, but expects that figure to hit 15,000 units per year over the next five years.
The recruitment drive at its Mayfair office will bump the firm’s national headcount to 500 employees.
MCR Property Group fund manager Chris Taylor said: “Despite hazy confidence in the London property market, the capital and its surrounding areas are a major focus for us.
“Expanding into London will enable us to propel our strategy forwards in order to deliver high quality development in high demand locations.”
He added: “We also have our sights set on European growth. Our presence in the capital will provide the leverage needed to rapidly trigger this expansion.”
MCR Property Group’s UK developments include New Monaco in Birmingham, The Old Works in High Wycombe and Gould Street in Manchester.
