Six-figure HSBC backing creates jobs at London security firm
Security company Direct Security is increasing its headcount with a six-figure boost from HSBC.
The firm, based in South East London, will use the £340k finance package to create seven jobs and target larger installation contracts.
Direct Security said the backing will also allow it to operate more efficiently by improving its sourcing methods for materials.
Darren Young, director at Direct Security, said: “The funding and overdraft facility from HSBC UK will not only safeguard our current and future work pipeline, but it is also an important strategic step on our journey to become a household name in the security industry.”
Direct Security provides systems such as CCTV and photo ID badging for the residential, retail and consumer sectors.
In addition to its UK business, the firm operates in Europe and Canada.
Lucy Wynn, HSBC UK’s area director for South London, commented: “Direct Security continues to go from strength-to-strength and with this funding injection the company will have the capacity to take on more contracts and continue to protect businesses across the country.”
Support from HSBC helped Direct Security win a raft of new projects, including work on a security fit-out at The Bridge Theatre on the bank of the River Thames.
