Mark Cattlin, ResearchBods

ResearchBods, specialists in customer data and intelligence, has appointed Mark Cattlin as product owner.

Mark has joined from Morrisons where he was IT business analyst within retail technology, focussing on the requirements and implementation of large scale in-store projects.

Dave Naylor, chief technical officer at ResearchBods, said: “As our platform continues to develop at a rapid pace, we needed someone whose sole responsibility was to own the change from conception right through to delivery.

“Mark’s expertise in technology paired with his excellent project management skills made him the perfect fit for this role.”

Wendy Cornwell-Vernon, JM Glendinning

JM Glendinning, a Leeds-based insurance broking, financial and health and safety services group, has appointed Wendy Cornwell-Vernon to its team as private client account executive, to support growth and add further depth of experience to its team.

Bringing over 25 years of experience of working in the insurance industry to the role, Wendy moves into the insurance broking market having previously held positions within insurer firms.

Wendy began her career working for General Accident in a temporary role and has since held positions as a broker development manager at RSA and more recently as a development underwriter at Hiscox in York.

She said: “I was drawn to work at JM Glendinning because of the people there. I had worked with the team in my role at Hiscox and knew how they operated. I was ready for a change in direction and was keen to work directly with clients, which my new role allows me to do.

“I have a broad base of knowledge to draw upon and I am passionate about building relationships with our clients, putting everything in place to give them the cover they need to ensure peace of mind.”

Katie Hobson, Lupton Fawcett

Lupton Fawcett is continuing to expand its Sheffield office having appointed solicitor, Katie Hobson to its commercial property department.

She brings experience to the role having previously worked in the legal departments of HSBC and Sheffield City Council.

Katie has handled a variety of commercial property transactions such as landlord and tenant work, including drafting and negotiating leases and other associated property documentation.

She commented: |“I have worked in the city for a number of years in an in-house role and have always admired the level of expertise and sound advice provided by Lupton Fawcett.

“I was therefore delighted when an opportunity arose to join them and I am looking forward to working as part of the team.”

Tracy Wilkes, Saftronics

Saftronics has appointed Tracy Wilkes to its project management team.

She has gained experience in the oil and gas and chemical sectors throughout her career, more recently whilst working at Synectics Systems as a project engineer.

Mark Godfrey, managing director, said: “Saftronics have a number of high profile projects in many different sectors and Tracy will be a great asset to our project management team.”

Peter Dickinson, NOW Consultancy

A Harrogate businessman has joined a Yorkshire-based management consultancy as its commercial director.

Peter Dickinson - who began his career as a mainframe engineer with International Computers Limited (ICL) and spent more than two decades working in the Middle East, America and Europe - has taken on the key role with business transformation expert, NOW Consultancy.

NOW Consultancy was launched in 2015 by Olga Wormald, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the UK retail and leisure sectors, including Warner Leisure, Hallmark Cards, ASDA, Tesco and Morrisons.

Olga said: “I first met Peter two years ago when he became my business advisor.

“I had recently started NOW Consultancy and, seeking to grow the firm in terms of winning clients and attracting new consultants, he was recommended to me.

“Over the last 24 months we have built up a very close working relationship and have achieved far more than I had envisaged. And, because of his understanding of my business, my aims and goals, I asked Peter if he would join the business as commercial director.

“My expertise is change management and, with Peter’s guidance, he has helped me transform my own business.”

Peter added: “For the last two years I have been Olga’s business mentor, helping her win more consultancy work.

“This in turn has led her to bringing on board more experts to help deliver a raft of different projects - all for clients going through transformational change.
