Luxury auto body shop in Battersea revs up with £45k funding
Chelsea Coachworks, the luxury auto body shop in southwest London, is expanding its premises with five-figure funding.
Owner Lyming Loo has used £45k funding to extend his premises, located near the London Heliport in Battersea, by leasing the site’s neighbouring units.
Chelsea Coachworks will add two new members of staff to its 12-strong team on the back of the project, which will expand the available workshop space and provide extra storage room for repaired cars.
Chelsea Coachworks operated as ChipsAway franchise for 11 years before rebranding in 2013.
The new funding was provided by NatWest and Lombard Invoice Finance.
Lyming Loo said: “Since rebranding to Chelsea Coachworks as an independent company with our vast experience we have enjoyed a successful 10 years of building a loyal customer base.
“Due to the steady growth of the business, we had started to outgrow our first workshop which is when I started looking for additional space and constantly updating our state of the art equipment.”
He added: “Thanks to the funding from NatWest and Lombard Invoice Finance we have been able to acquire the new units and increased our capacity and scope of our business over night.”
NatWest business growth enabler Rahul Modasia commented: “We have been working with Chelsea Coachworks since the company was established and have seen the business go from strength to strength.
“Our latest funding will help the business continue its growth trajectory, increasing capacity and creating new jobs.”
