Metro Bank continues ‘impressive growth’ with third Square Mile branch

Metro Bank is coming to Moorgate with its third site in London’s Square Mile.

Opening next week at 120 London Wall, the branch will be the 66th in Metro Bank’s UK-wide portfolio.

City of London Lord Mayor Alderman Peter Estlin will officially open the store with Metro Bank local director Jimmy Munoz and store manager Jake Wills.

Craig Donaldson, the bank’s chief exec, said: “Opening our third seven-day-a-week store in the City goes to show the impressive growth of the bank and the demand among customers for great service and convenience.

“So, whether it’s the ability to open an account in 20 minutes with no appointment needed and walk out with everything set up; replacing a lost card on the spot; or simply looking to get involved in a local business networking or charity event, our new Moorgate store is set up to support the City’s residents, businesses and commuters.”

He added: “Together with the Moorgate team, I look forward to welcoming everyone to what will be a truly exceptional day.”

Commenting on the upcoming launch, Lord Mayor Peter Estlin commented: “I’m delighted to help officially open Metro Bank’s new store.

“The City is home to a world leading financial cluster so I welcome Metro Bank choosing Moorgate as the site for its third store in the Square Mile and 66th overall.”

Metro Bank’s London Wall branch will open next Thursday (January 17).

It follows a pledge from the bank last year to provide £1bn in funding for businesses looking to expand, recruit and innovate.
