Humber women team up to launch Hull-based HR consultancy
Four professionals have teamed up to launch a new consultancy combining HR recruitment and outsourced services.
Humber HR People is the brainchild of recruiter Kate van der Sluis, who believes ‘old school’ recruitment agencies are out-of-date.
The Hull-based firm’s aim is to combine the recruitment of full-time, part-time and freelance HR workers with specialist services like consultancy for leadership and talent development, executive coaching and employee engagement.
Managing partner Kate said: “With the Humber region being the 11th worst in the country for productivity we aim to help solve this dire situation.
“HR is fundamentally linked to productivity. If your people are happy your bottom line will go up”
Joining Kate are Kellie Calvert, associate director of HR; Sharleen Lawless, associate director of talent; and Alice Ackroyd, associate director of leadership development.
Between them, they have more than 80 years’ combined experience.
Speaking further, Kate said: “Humber HR People is the Humber’s only specialist HR recruitment firm dedicated to recruiting exclusively within the profession.
“We are based in Hull City Centre and work with organisations on both the north and south bank of the Humber, particularly within technology, engineering and manufacturing.”
She added: “Each of us has our own field of HR expertise, from employee relations, law and engagement to learning and development.”
