It’s Time to Talk for PHMG employees
An audio branding specialist is encouraging conversations around mental health and wellbeing by investing in an employee support app to mark Time to Talk Day (7 February).
Staff at PHMG will soon be able to report any confidential workplace or home issues anonymously via Tootoot – a unique online and app-based platform.
Originally created to support pupils within schools, Tootoot now improves worker wellbeing by allowing users to send confidential messages about their work or home life to dedicated mentors within PHMG. Depending of the nature of the query, mentors will either advise on the best course of action or they will put the employee in touch with external specialists who can help.
“Research by Mind shows that 43% of employees find their situation gets better when they disclose their mental health problem¹, highlighting the importance of talking to others about our problems,” said Jason Daye, Operations Director at PHMG.
“We want to ensure our staff members have a safe place to raise home or workplace issues, making it easier to take the critical first step towards getting the help they may need.”
Time to Talk day is an initiative backed by UK mental health charity Mind, which encourages everyone to have a conversation about mental health. Employees at the company have also chosen Mind to benefit from PHMG’s fundraising activity in 2019.
Daye added: “Our employees are particularly passionate about mental health and wanted to help Mind continue to give everyone with a mental health issue the support they deserve. It’s only right our staff should have access to help they may need too.”
Tootoot will be offered to all employees as part of the company’s extensive ‘PH Perks’ programme, joining other wellbeing benefits such as life insurance, financial consultations, and pension plans.
PHMG is the world’s largest audio branding agency with more than 32,000 clients in 39 countries worldwide, including Coca-Cola, Audi and Adidas.
