The Regenda Group gives employees Time to Talk about mental health

A North West regeneration business is promoting mental health awareness as part of Time to Talk Day.

On Thursday 7 February, The Regenda Group is encouraging all staff to take time out and talk to colleagues as part of its commitment to addressing mental health in the workplace.

The organisation will use its meeting rooms as confidential areas for those wishing to have a private chat with a colleague, while others can enjoy a brew, a biscuit and a natter in its offices across the region.

Mental health problems affect one in four, but many people are still afraid to talk about it. The Time to Talk campaign encourages everyone to talk about mental health and end mental health discrimination.

As part of The Group’s ongoing commitment to mental health awareness, Regenda has also trained a number of staff as mental health first aiders, who are available to provide support for those struggling with mental health at any time.

Earlier this year, The Regenda Group also become the first housing association to partner with national mental health charity, Chasing the Stigma, making a commitment to provide mental health awareness training to all its staff. 

Ambassadors of Hope is a fully Ofqual accredited 20-minute training programme that will give staff better understanding of mental health, advise how to effectively signpost those who need help to appropriate support via the Hub of Hope app and how to deal with a mental health crisis.

 

The Regenda Group is committed to providing this training for all its staff, over 700 in total, between now and the end of 2019.
